Though I’ve lived in the Bay Area for more than six years, I’ve never toured San Francisco for a whole day. We’ve driven through and around the city like when I went to Point Reyes or saw the sunset, but we never stopped to take a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge or such. This Saturday, for the first time, we decided to go to San Francisco and actually spend a whole day there. Since this is my first time actually finding places to take pictures, I built a quick wish-list. If anyone has been to San Francisco and knows a few secret spots, don’t hesitate to comment either!
STROLL THROUGH CHINATOWN
Being America’s biggest Chinatown, this place is #1 on my wish-list even before the Golden Gate Bridge. I’m looking forward to find creativity in the town and taking pictures of the life and energy in the town as well.
A PHOTOSHOOT AT BAKER BEACH
Okay, you might be thinking why the Golden Gate Bridge is still not here, but Baker Beach is one of the best places to see the Golden Gate Bridge without having to be stuck in traffic. Of course, the beautiful view of the ocean and the mountains is just a bonus. This place is probably the background of many wedding pictures, postcards, etc. I’m planning to visit in the early morning before sunrise or late in the afternoon before sunset.
VISIT THE BRIDGE WHEN IT IS FOGGY
Yes, I know that this has nothing to do with a normal wish-list, but on Instagram, I always see pictures of San Francisco when Karl, its fog, creeps in. Karl is so famous that he even has his own account on Instagram here. On their Instagram, you can see so many more pictures of Karl, which I go through almost every week in jealousy of the people who got to see the view.
THE COASTAL ROADS OF SAN FRANCISCO + THE MOUNTAIN LAYERS
The fact that this picture is foggy as well must be a coincidence. But I’ve always wanted to be at the top of a high road in San Francisco and take a stunning picture downwards. Of course, in this picture, there are mountain layers in the background , and let me just tell you that I absolutely love mountain layers.
I am so excited to visit San Francisco this Saturday, and if anyone has other suggestions, please comment down below! This post is not in any way sponsored by anyone of the brands/accounts I mentioned (I believe I only mentioned one).
I have removed the photos on this post due to legal issues.
